Main partnerships

SDA Bocconi – the School of Management of Università Bocconi has been creating and sharing knowledge since 1971. Over the years, the School’s commitment to research and education has enabled it to contribute significantly to the development of many industries, both in Italy and abroad. SDA Bocconi has risen, in the Financial Times Ranking of Custom Programs 2016, to 5th place in Europe and 6th worldwide.

CEB, the leading member-based advisory company, gives senior leaders and their teams insight into how successful organisations operate, equipping them with actionable solutions that can transform operations. CEB Integrated Talent Management Services address an increasing concern among leaders about how to manage and leverage talent to achieve business goals.

A premier university in Asia, the Singapore Management University (SMU) is internationally recognised for its world-class research and distinguished teaching. Established in 2000, SMU’s mission is to generate cutting-edge research with global impact and produce broad-based, creative and entrepreneurial leaders for the knowledge-based economy.

FDSM - School of Management, Fudan University, has been creating and sharing knowledge since 1985. Over the years, the School’s commitment to research and education has enabled it to contribute a lot to many industries, both at home and abroad.

The Darla Moore School of Business located at the University of South Carolina has a long tradition of preparing expert leaders for the international business marketplace. The School was founded in 1919 as one of the earliest schools of commerce in the nation. Today, more than 200 faculty members help educate over 5000 undergraduates and 800 graduate students.

Steinbeis works as a knowledge and technology transfer partner to companies in trade and industry. Its core services encompass research and development, consulting, and – as a basis for all of this – education. Founded in 1998, the University offers executive degrees and employee training and development Programs.

The mission of Corvinus is to maintain an international standard of creating and transmitting values in the form of teaching, research and consulting activities, all in the context of academic freedom. The University regards its teachers, students and researchers as the most important creators of value in the institution.

Since 1954, FGV-EAESP has prepared the most qualified professionals for key decision-making in organisations. It is a South American pioneer in setting up business and public administration Programs, and is a leading think tank in Latin America and the Caribbean.

A pioneer of business-related learning since 1907, ESSEC’s (École Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciale) mission is to respond to the challenges of the future. Counting 47,000 graduates, ESSEC’s leadership in founded on its capacity to provide new, relevant and high-impact information that feeds into the school’s activities across the board: bachelor’s, master’s and executive education Programs.

SSE was founded in 1909 and it’s one of Europe’s leading business schools. The School offers bachelor’s, master’s and MBA Programs, along with highly regarded PhDs and extensive executive education Programs. The SSE vision is to firmly establish itself as a member of the top-tier of European business schools.

ESADE is an international academic institution with over fifty years of history. The main asset of this school is people: faculty members and professionals who nurture reflection, dialogue, projects and initiatives to ensure excellent education, pioneering research and a valuable contribution to social debate and transformation.

Prysmian Group has long-established relationships with major universities and research centres in most of the main centres of excellence worldwide.

Collaboration with universities is key in order for us to stay constantly updated on the latest business issues and to use the most advanced technologies at the disposal of the scientific community.

Among the different and influential ongoing collaborations are:

Prysmian Group and FBK - Fondazione Bruno Kessler have an innovative collaboration agreement for the development of R&D activities in three strategic areas:

  • nanotechnologies
  • optical fibres
  • new materials for the production of power and TLC cables.

This long-term partnership will enable the development and growth of know-how and work methodologies, reducing both start up periods and project costs.

The agreement involves more than 350 researchers at one of the most active research organisations in Italy and worldwide. It is innovative due to the sharing of the entrepreneurial risk: FBK will finance the researchers, whilst Prysmian will donate a percentage of the sales of the products developed by the research activity to the institute.

Prysmian is an original member of the National Electric Energy Testing Research and Applications Centre – NEETRAC (consortium of approx. 30 companies that fund research for the electric utility industry). There are over 30 active projects and a large historic database created since its inception in 1996.

Institute of Clinical Physiology - Pisa: industrial application of Computerised Tomography techniques to identify cable defects.
Institute of Inorganic Methodologies and Plasmas - Rome: advanced characterisation of compounds; ionising radiation dosimeters.
Institute of Photonics and Nanotechnologies – Rome: laser surface treatment of cables and advanced characterisation of surfaces; data digitalisation and transmission for electrical sensors.

SDA Bocconi School of Management is of the few business schools in the world to hold the ‘triple crown’ accreditation, which is awarded by three of the most prestigious school-accreditation associations worldwide: AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA. SDA Bocconi has risen, in the Financial Times Ranking of Custom Programs 2016, to 5th place in Europe and 6th worldwide.

École Supérieure d'Électricité, commonly known as Supélec, is the most famous engineering university for electricity, electronics and information sciences in France. Laurent Tardif, Prysmian Group CEO in France, as member and President of the supervisory board of Supélec is currently representing the French Electrical Industry (FIEEC).

Study of heat transmission in fluids inside the bore and the annulus of flexible pipes.

Department of Materials Science: advanced characterisation of special glass used in fibre sensors; industrial applications of lasers for cable surface treatment. Department of Physics: industrial applications of plasma for cable surface treatment; calculation of build-up effects in cables for nuclear application.

Department of Engineering: EPR characterisation of special glass used in fibre sensors, radiation ageing of polymeric materials, X-ray and gamma ray radiation facilities c/o L.E.N.A. reactor.
